Our Mission

The Wilmot Garden Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting gardening, horticulture, conservation, and the enjoyment and protection of our local environment. Through educational programs, community gardening projects, civic beautification, and opportunities for members and community residents to learn and participate, we encourage an appreciation of gardening and stewardship of our local environment while contributing to the Wilmot community.

Our programs and activities bring people together to share gardening knowledge, learn from experienced gardeners and guest speakers, support community projects, and create and maintain gardens that benefit the community.

🌱 Gardening Education
At least twice per year we host programs and presentations that help members and the community learn about gardening, plants, horticulture, and conservation.

🌿 Community Projects
The WGC maintains ten town gardens throughout Wilmot. Garden projects and beautification activities enhance shared public spaces in Wilmot. See Town Gardens page on this site for a list of the town gardens we maintain.

🐝 Conservation & Pollinators
Many of our activities encourage pollinator-friendly gardening, native plants, and responsible stewardship of the environment.

🤝 Community Engagement
Throughout the year we provide opportunities for gardeners and community members to learn, participate, volunteer, and connect. We host a plant sale of mostly annual plants as a fund raiser to raise money for our scholarship fund and town garden maintenance as well as other Wilmot beautification efforts.

Making a Difference in Wilmot

The Wilmot Garden Club contributes to our community through ongoing gardening, educational, and civic activities. Club members maintain ten community gardens around Wilmot, host an annual plant sale, award the Walter Kangas Memorial Scholarship, provide gardening education, and participate in the annual Greening of Wilmot.
